ACTION

Volunteers Needed for Read a Thon LIteracy Event

Woodbridge Farms School is having a Read-A-Thon! The Read-A-Thon is a fundraiser that allows all students in grades K-6 the opportunity to ‘show off’ their literacy skills while earning pledges for their school at the same time.

On Friday, November 24, students will participate in Reading events at the school where they will complete a variety of literacy stations appropriate for their grade level. Read-A-Thon proceeds will be used to support fundraising for technology, books and other classroom supports.

We are in need of parent volunteers to help prep the materials for this event and also to help run the literacy stations on Friday, November 24. If you are interested in volunteering, please use this link to sign up: READ A THON VOLUNTEERS

OPPORTUNITY

Woodbridge Wear

Did you know Early Dismissal Days are also School Spirit Wear Days?

If you would like to order some Woodbridge clothing for your family, have a look at Woodbridge Farms (orderpromos.com) to order!

Orders close November 23 and will be delivered to the school a couple weeks after. Would make a great Christmas Present!

December Hot Lunch

Ordering is now open for December hot lunch days. Please open the attachment to see how to order. If you have already ordered hot lunch this year you just need to login. If not, follow the directions on the attachment. Please make sure you put your child in the correct class so that we can make sure your child receives their hot lunch. If your child is absent that day you are welcome to call the office and let them know that you will be picking up your childs hot lunch in the office. Pickups can be done after 12:30.  Kindergarten students are not included in hot lunches. This will be an opportunity for them when they get to grade 1.

DECEMBER HOT LUNCH ORDERING

INFORMATION

Wee Wonderland is just around the corner!

What is Wee Wonderland? Wee Wonderland was started at WBF over 30 years ago. A group of hard working elves shop year round to get the best deals, the gym is then decorated and set up like a market. The kiddos have an opportunity to pick out and wrap Christmas gifts for their friends and family.

There are a few exciting changes this year, we will now be doing tables for $5, $10 and $15! It will be running December 6, 7 and 8. Your child's teacher will choose their day and a time slot closer to the date, and let their class know. An order form with more information will be sent home with your child the last week of November where parents/caregivers help choose who to buy for and how much to spend and the rest is up to kids to pick out with the help of the on-site volunteer elves!

Donations / Volunteers:

We are also looking for donations for new or used small to medium gift bags, tissue paper and gift tags. If you have any to donate, please send them to school with your child or drop them off in the bin by the office. More info on volunteer opportunities will be provided soon.

Questions can be directed to Wbfweewonderland@gmail.com

Save the Date - Division 1 Christmas Concert

We will be having an in-person Division 1 Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 12 at 6:30pm. This concert will take place at the Agora in the Strathcona County Community Centre and will be for our Kindergarten - Grade 3 students.

In the Spring we will be having an Art Show and Division 2 instrument performance evening. Stay tuned for a date and more information.
